I'm vegan, so I practice kindness to animals and our environment every day. I like knowing that I can make a difference!

I've started my own volunteer project at a nearby nursing and rehabilitation center. I bring recycled items that I've purchased from garage sales and resale shops to decorate and revive the space where the residents live. Sometimes that includes jewelry, books, and craft supplies. They are always happy and appreciative that I'm there -- it makes my heart smile :). I call it OASIS SPACES.
Linda C., Lemont, IL My Random act of Kindness is couponing! I love couponing, and will pass out extra coupons I clipped to shoppers in the grocery store. They really seem to appreciate it!
Lisa R., St. Louis, MO I go to Starbucks once a day (my coffee addiction is strong!) and once a week I will buy coffee for the car behind me. I've noticed some times it happens to me as well! A coffee is only a couple dollars but the act definitely brightens someone's day.
Sheridan D., New York, NY Every spring my neighborhood has a community yard sale, and part of the proceeds go to our local animal shelter. I feel good knowing I can help support animals in need!
Leslie L., Boston, MA I love my bracelet, I wear it daily to remind me of my dad who passed away. He always did random acts for people such as pay it forward by buying coffee at Starbucks for others in line or helping pay for someone’s groceries that seemed like they needed the help. I do a random act each week in honor of him. Thank you for reminding us to always help others. I know my dad is smiling down from heaven proud of me.
Alyssa S., Sacramento, California My random act was buying candy for the workers I encounter everyday at my daughters sports activities. We talk everyday when I check her in for her sport and I figured they needed something to sweeten up their day. They were so grateful and it feels good to do something even so small.
Linda M., St. Charles, Illinois My son also passed away a few years ago. You never forget and the heart will always be heavy. Once a month I started a tradition of bringing a extra bouquet of flowers for a grave at the cemetery. Sometimes it’s a child that passed or I love reading the beautiful tributes that loved ones write and leave them there in honor of great love. I find so much peace in doing this, and knowing how much all these other people were loved by their families.
Karen L., Charlotte, North Carolina I really love dogs but don't have any pets of my own, so twice a week I will walk three of the dogs in my neighborhood around in the park. The come from families who work multiple jobs so they don't have as much time as me to take care of them. They really appreciate it and I love hanging out with the dogs!
Sean D., Madison, Wisconsin My Random Act of Kindness was participating in a food drive at my church. This bracelet is great and acts as a reminder to me to join in on more activities like this in the future!
